Women’s Contribution to the Development of Bangladesh (English Paragraph)

Women’s Contribution to the Development of Bangladesh

The women of Bangladesh are playing an important role in the country’s development. Of late, they have come to the surface. Although their role in the domestic work is not recognized, it has been estimated that it is worth one hundred thousand taka a year. Despite there being no estimate of how much they contribute to the GDP, their emergence is quite evident from their role. They are now working both in the rural and urban areas. In the rural areas, they are working in the farms. They are working as NGO workers. They are also working as teachers, ANSARs or VDP members. They have become entrepreneurs both in the rural and urban sectors. They are opening beauty parlors, shops, poultry farms, fisheries etc. They are joining the armed forces and the police. They are working as news presenters, journalists and athletes. Women are working as CEOs in industries as well. They have treaded the path of ICT earning foreign exchange for the country. Millions of women are working in the garment sector which brings us huge foreign money. Thousands of women are working overseas as domestic workers. They play an important role in building our foreign reserve. So there is a revolutionary change in the role of women. Their contribution cannot be ignored. We can certainly boast of them.
