Society
Society is the oldest
organization built by man. He built it because he needed it. The purpose was to
live together. No sensible man can live outside it. Mutual interests hold them
together in it. It offers him a wide range of advantages. It gives him
protection and security. Everyone in the society serves everyone else mutually.
It fulfills his wants and demands. For example, the farmer supplies grain to
the weaver and the businessman. In return, he buys cloth from the weaver with
the money he gets from the businessman. Again, the members of a society see to
their mutual gains. They stand by each other in times of need. They mutually
offer themselves protection, support and consolation. This helps self-growth of
the members of the society. They learn to be good citizens from this. This is
how society becomes the most important stepping-stone of the civilization.
