Outdoor Games (English Paragraph)

Outdoor Games

Games we play outdoors are known as outdoor games. They are opposite to indoor games. We play indoor games within our homes. Outdoor games require us to go outdoors. Outdoor games are of two types: open space games and closed space games. They may be national or native as well as international. Football, cricket, skating, volleyball etc are examples of international outdoor games. These games are usually played in closed space fields or stadiums. Some of these games can also be played in open fields or outside stadiums. Ha-du-du, dariabandha, gollachhut, are our native outdoor games. These games are usually played in open fields. People of all ages can play these games. But there are some outdoor games which only children play. Climbing trees, kanamachhi, playing picnic, ekka dokka, making sandhouses or huts with leaves are some of our childhood games. These games develop social skills in children. They also have great health benefits. Unfortunately, many of these games are losing out to modern technologies. Devices and gadgets are replacing them. Computer, mobile phones, television, i-pad, i-pod, laptop, play-stations have almost stolen away these games. This is a worldwide trend. As a result, our children are growing up without traditions. They are vulnerable to different health hazards of technologies as well. So, traditional outdoor games need revival for our own interest.
